Political Education Movement Building Training

Join us for the Rise & Vote event hosted by Corazón and CAIR Arizona: the Political Education and Movement Building Training on June 22nd. During this intensive session, participants will delve into the foundational aspects of political education. The curriculum includes an exploration of the historical and theoretical frameworks underpinning social movements, with a focus on key concepts such as power dynamics, systemic oppression, and collective action. Through a series of interactive workshops, attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the ways in which past and present movements have influenced the political landscape, and how these insights can be applied to contemporary struggles. This rigorous education will equip participants with the analytical tools necessary to critically evaluate social issues and develop well-informed strategies for change.

Beyond the realm of political education, the training will emphasize the acquisition of practical skills essential for movement building. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions covering vital organizing techniques, including grassroots mobilization, coalition-building, and strategic campaign planning. Guided by experienced facilitators and movement leaders, attendees will partake in exercises aimed at enhancing their leadership capabilities, communication skills, and capacity for collaborative action. By the conclusion of the event, participants will have formulated actionable plans and forged connections with other dedicated activists, thus empowering them to effectuate meaningful and sustainable change within their communities.
